26. Quarter is a weird word

Last week commemorates (a dramatic way to put it but I’m running with it) my 25th public blog post on Lotts To Say! I can hear the applause through the screen but please, delay the champagne and fireworks. Aside from 25 being a nice round number, it usually denotes a quarter of something. So hold my drink while I have a quarter-life blog crisis. I will start by acknowledging that I’m glad I am still here writing and babbling each week. I started this blog as an outlet, a place to work on my relationship with creativity.

Each week, I aim to bring a new aspect to a mundane thought I had throughout the week and hope to reveal a new perspective on something you once thought mundane. I know I’m not out here changing the world, but that’s not the point.

I suppose can’t narrow down the purpose of this blog, it doesn’t just bubble down to a single reason. The not-knowing of it all is very early-twenties of me. It poses a suitable question for this blog: What am I doing? At the age of 26-posts-old, I hope this isn’t a quarter-life crisis for my blog because I want to post more than a hundred times for this blog. With each post of at least 300 words, I hope you’re ready with me to throw another 23,000 words at you before I’m done. As you can probably tell, I don’t have a problem talking about almost anything.

Each week I ponder the topic of This Week’s Say before I spit something out into the world. Perhaps instead, I should be questioning when these will take a scary oversharing turn and I’ll have to create a new identity. Now that would test my relationship with creativity.

Perhaps lucky for you, this week’s babble is shorter than usual. Much like being in the throes of a quarter-life crisis (I’m guessing, I haven’t quite reached mine yet), I’m just piecing things together bit by bit. I appreciate your support, thank you for being here.

With pride,

Charlotte.
